Introduction

For teaching English as a second language there are four skills (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking) and Use of English, in this course we are focusing only on the two receptive skills that English has, which are Reading and Listening. As learners or teachers we know that sometimes the information we receive is as meaningful as the knowledge we are acquiring or teaching so thats why it is important to develop the receptive skills, because we are going to reproduce what we heard or maybe we are going to produce information based on what we heard, as a kind of immitation.

During this course, as Language Students, we are going to play different roles, such as: teacher, student, observer and material designer what I know is going to help us to develop our English teaching skills, not only as students but as teachers also, being observer is a great help for us and for other students to prevent from making mistakes in real life. Being teachers or students give us the vision of what we want to do or what we want to prevent in a future and finally being material designers give us the experience to help other students improving their English level.
